El Alcalde Gray del Distrito de Columbia promulg\u00f3 el 15 de enero 2014 la \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/dcwagelaw.com\/wage-law\/dc\/dc-minimum-wage-amendment-act-of-2013\">D.C. Minimum Wage Amendment Act of 2013<\/a>\u201d\u00a0 (\u201cLa Ley reformada de 2013 sobre el salario m\u00ednimo de D.C.\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>La Ley se trata de una reforma de la <a href=\"http:\/\/dcwagelaw.com\/wage-law\/dc\/dc-minimum-wage-act-revision-act\">D.C. Minimum Wage Revision Act<\/a> (La Ley reformada del salario m\u00ednimo de D.C.), la cual se revisa en muchos aspectos clave. En primer lugar, se aumenta el salario m\u00ednimo de D.C. por la primera vez desde el 24 de julio de 2009 (cuando el salario m\u00ednimo se aument\u00f3 junto con el federal).<\/p>\n<p>La Ley aumenta el salario m\u00ednimo de D.C. a $9.50 el 1 de julio de 2014, a $10.50 el 1 de julio de 2015, y a $11.50 el 1 de julio de 2016. Tras esto, se podr\u00e1n realizar futuros aumentos anuales los 1 de julio de cada a\u00f1o, manteni\u00e9ndose pues a la par de la inflaci\u00f3n. V\u00e9ase m\u00e1s arriba el cuadro que expone un resumen de dichos cambios, incluidos los cambios correspondientes de la tarifa m\u00ednima de tiempo extra (sobretiempo, o \u201covertime.\u201d)<\/p>\n<p>Adicionalmente: la Ley exige que los empresarios de empleados que reciben propina certifiquen trimestralmente que \u00e9stos hayan cobrado el salario m\u00ednimo. El salario digno es el que les corresponde a ciertos contratistas y receptores de asistencia gubernamental de Washington, conforme con La Ley sobre el salario digno de 2006 (\u201cThe Living Wage Act of 2006).
